who am i

be that luminary emergence ruthless in its furrow / moon astonish- ment mirror of it's own midnight / be plenitude unfathomable at the firmament of your vacuity / in this song of silence elusive / be pouring / shimmering steep in dreams on so sensitive waters / feel the vertiginous mystery / our miracle / ô my marvel

i am he that neither is nor is not / child of every paradoxes of space and silence / i am this embrace and resonance / this lover of Lilamayi the inconceivable magician / i am the father of a Buddha whose name is blooming within me / though beyond time my essence murmures itself indefinitely

Aum Lilamayi Hum

These cats are Lilamayi, and Narayana. When femininizing maya with an i, one can easily guess that the word is related to magic, magie. And as not all magic is a deception, one understands that maya doesn't have to translate as illusion. Lilamayi means playfull magic, or magical play.

As a deity she would be related to Lalita, sometimes seen as the Great Mother under the name Tripurasundari, splendor beyond the mirage. She has a thousand names. She is also Kurukulla. The hindu goddess is nearly identical to the buddhist deity. Here's from astrojyoti.com: "Lalita means The One Who Plays. All creation, manifestation and dissolution is considered to be a play of Devi. Tri-Pura means the three worlds and Sundari means beauty. She is the transcendent beauty of the three worlds. Tripura also signifies She is the ruler of the the three gunas of Satva, Rajas and Tamas; and sun, moon and fire - the zodiac and the planets, and therefore Time itself; She is also "tripura" as Will (Iccha), Knowledge (Jnana) and Action (Kriya). She is also "tripura" as intellect, feelings and physical sensation.

I was quite happy to recently be empowered for the practice of Red Tara/Kurukulla.

Prior to this rlung I had chosen Lilamayi myself as a personal yidam, in quite a pagan way... as an aspect of my own innate divinity I would want to relate to as my shakti, my consort, ma parèdre, as Nityamukta, eternaly free. I had simply adapted this mantra: Aum Ah Hum Lilamayi Hum Lilamayi Hum. I visualised her as a 18-22 years old white goddess with black wavy hair lightly and somewhat ornately dressed, like a white Tara. -What a scare when i felt her presence in my room! Especially that i wasn't sure how kosher a self-appointed yidam was...

Lilamayi is a descprition of the essence of the universe, as a magical display, sgyu 'prul rol pa in tibetan. ( cho 'prul would be closer to maya as illusion. [?]) Posted by Picasa
