Here is the flag that the 16th Karmapa dreamt of, the « Victorious Flag of the Buddha's Wisdom », predicting that « Wherever this banner is flown, the Dharma will expand ». I would say that it symbolises the inseparability of sky and sun > of space and light > of emptiness and phenomenon.
I also feel it is pregnant of deeper intuitive significations. What does the wavy interface line evoke? -A spontaneous incarnation of water at the conjunction of emptiness and appearances?
